Why Monitor FX Alert Levels?
Foreign exchange movements can affect import payments, export receipts, overseas supplier invoices, freight charges, foreign-currency receivables and settlement planning. Instead of reviewing every currency manually, this dashboard highlights currencies that may require closer attention during the current trading day.
Unlike a long-term risk heatmap, this dashboard focuses on daily operational monitoring. It uses the available intraday sessions to show whether a currency has remained stable, moved moderately, or reached a higher alert category based on current-day movement.
How to Interpret the Dashboard
Extreme Alert and High Alert currencies indicate larger movement during the latest available daily or intraday comparison. Elevated and Caution levels indicate noticeable but lower movement. Watch indicates relatively small movement within the available data.
Alert levels describe historical movement size only. They do not predict future exchange-rate direction, recommend transactions, measure profitability, or replace transaction-specific rates from financial institutions.
Data Notice: This dashboard uses daily middle exchange-rate data published through Malaysia Open Data and sourced from Bank Negara Malaysia where available. Results are provided for general business reference only and do not represent commercial bank buying rates, selling rates, remittance rates, card rates, treasury quotations, money changer rates, financial advice, or forecasts of future exchange-rate movements.
