Why Monitor FX Risk Levels?
Foreign exchange risk can affect import payments, export receipts, overseas supplier invoices, freight charges, foreign-currency receivables and cross-border settlement planning. A currency that records larger movements across multiple periods may require closer monitoring by finance, procurement and treasury teams.
This dashboard converts recent exchange-rate movements into a practical risk heatmap. It compares daily, 7-day, 30-day and 90-day percentage changes to identify currencies with higher movement intensity and currencies showing relatively lower movement within the available dataset.
The heatmap is intended to support general business review. It does not forecast future currency movements, recommend transactions, or replace transaction-specific exchange-rate quotations from financial institutions.
How to Interpret the Dashboard
Higher risk levels indicate larger combined exchange-rate movements across the measured periods. Lower risk levels indicate smaller recent movements. The classification describes historical movement intensity only and should not be treated as a prediction of future volatility.
Users may compare the risk level, recent percentage movements, ASEAN grouping, and business guidance for each currency before reviewing internal exposure, payment timing, procurement planning or settlement policies.
