Why Monitor FX Seasonality?
Exchange-rate movements can vary across different months of the year. A seasonality dashboard helps businesses compare historical monthly patterns and understand whether certain months have historically shown stronger movement, weaker movement, higher volatility, or more stable currency behaviour.
For exporters, importers, procurement teams, logistics companies, and finance departments, this can provide useful context when reviewing payment timing, foreign-currency receipts, supplier settlements, and internal treasury planning.
Seasonality analysis is historical only. It should not be treated as a forecast, trading signal, or guarantee that future exchange-rate behaviour will follow past monthly patterns.
How to Interpret This Dashboard
A stronger month means the selected currency historically recorded higher average movement against MYR during that calendar month within the available dataset. A weaker month means the currency historically recorded lower average movement or more negative average movement during that month.
Average absolute movement measures the size of movement regardless of direction. This helps identify months that were historically more active even if the direction varied from year to year.
Use this dashboard together with actual bank quotations, commercial exchange rates, payment terms, trade exposure, and internal risk-management policies before making business decisions.
