Why a Currency Strength Index Matters

A currency may look strong in one month, but that alone does not always give a useful business signal. The Currency Strength Index combines several indicators so importers, exporters, and logistics teams can see a clearer ranking of which currencies are currently stronger or weaker against MYR.

For importers, a stronger foreign currency can increase MYR payment pressure. For exporters, a stronger foreign currency may affect overseas pricing and settlement value. For logistics providers, currency strength can influence freight costing, overseas agent charges, supplier invoices, and customer quotation discussions.

How to Use This Dashboard

Use this dashboard as a quick FX ranking tool. A higher strength score means the currency has shown stronger movement against MYR based on recent performance and momentum. A lower score means the currency has shown weaker movement. Volatility is included as a small adjustment because highly unstable currencies may require closer monitoring even when they appear strong.
